Day 1 – Saturday

Today you arrive in Guayaquil and our driver will welcome you at the airport José Joaquin Olmedo. Guayaquil is with 2,8 million inhabitants the largest city of Ecuador. The city is very dynamic and especially in the last 15 years the city stared to change: before dangerous areas like e.g. Las Penas were rebuild and made accessible for visitors. The driver will bring you to the hotel in Guayaquil were you will spend the night.

Day 2 – Sunday

After breakfast the driver will meet you in your hotel and you will have a transfer to the quiet town of Puerto Lopez. On the way you will see typical coast area towns, nice landscapes and of course the sea. After an about four and a half hours lasting ride you will arrive in the harbor town of Puerto Lopez. The afternoon is free to rest or to discover on the beach.

Day 3 – Monday

This day is free to do whatever is desired. We recommend for example a tour with horses, a daytour into the Nationalpark Machalilla, e.g. San Sebastian,  or a visit to the vivid village of Montanita (home to a lot of foreigners, who felt in love with the place and never left again). B/-/-

Day 4 – Tuesday

Today you will have a tour to the Isla de la Plata – the Galapagos of the poor. On this Island – just about 2 hours from the mainland - you can observe some of the species you also find on the Galapagos Islands (for example blue foot boobies, marine tortoises and Albatrosses). The Island is known for having been a Pirates Island and some people think that there are still some treasures of Francis Drake to find – either on the Island (Plata means Silver) or in the shallow water around. Depending on the season (June until September) you might be lucky to see the giant humpback whales – a really impressive experience!

Day 5 – Wednesday

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel to visit the historic site of Aqua Blanca. Besides visiting the museum of the small community you also get the chance to take a bath in a sulfur pool. After a box lunch your guide will bring you to the well-known beach of Los Frailes. In here you have the chance to make a hike to a viewpoint with a breathtaking view over the coast of Los Frailes and the beach next to it “La Tortugita”. If you keep on walking you will end up at the blacksanded beach La Playita (if you have problems with your muscles and/or joints it is a good thing to cover your whole body with the black sand and let yourself heat up by the sun. After a nice afternoon on the beach you will be brought back to your hotel in Puerto Lopez

Day 6 – Thursday

This day is free to do whatever is desired. Maybe you feel to have lunch in the famous Delphin Magico in Salango – just take a Motortaxi and go there – it is really worth it!!!

On the way back you can make a stop on the beach of La Tortuga (still a secret beach) to enjoy the wonderful surrounding!

Day 7 – Friday

Also today you are free to do whatever is desired. If you are interested in bird watching it is recommendable to visit the lagoon close by Ayampe – to this sweet water lagoon all kind of seabirds are coming to drink their daily water. Another option is to make a boat tour to the Island of Salango (in front of the village Salango). You cannot enter the Island, but you can do some snorkeling in front and on the boat trip you also have the chance to observe seabirds like the Fregatbirds.
