SAMONA LODGE
Samona Lodge (The Cuyabeno Reserve) is located in the Cuyabeno protected forest reserve. Wildlife is in abundance everywhere in the reserve. A short list of possible observations includes: Howler, Squirl, Capuchin and night monkeys along with the Black-mantled Tamarin and Pigmy Marmoset.

Activities are spread out over a wide area and allow visitors to explore several distinct but equally fascinating habitats. We also offered: night walks and canoe trips, with the aid of flashlights, often reveal creatures seldom seen during daylight. Caimans (of the alligator family) and giant insects rule the jungle after sunset.

Monkeys, sloths, anteaters, armadillos, tapirs, jaguars, manaties and fresh water dolphins are just some of the mammals that live here, along with a great variety of reptiles such as snakes, caiman and the great anaconda and numerous fish, including Paiche(Arapaima), measuring over 3 meters in length and the famous piranha.
