PINAN TRAIL 4 DAYS
This 4 days trek passes through rich farm lands, cloud forest and paramo. You will enjoy the diverse nature of the
country, especially as your guide is not only a mountain guide, but also a naturalist one, so he can provide explanation of both mountains and plants. You will enjoy magnificent panoramas of Otavalo,
the surrounding mountains and Cotacachi.
Think of life as if it was hundreds of years ago as you follow part of the old Incan Trail were you will find no other
soul for the next 4 days. Also remember the climate is unpredictable so we highly recommend you to bring warm clothing and several layers.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Quito - Achupallas
- Pick up at designated time
- Transfer to Achupallas town
- Accommodation Achupallas base camp (3100m)
- Lunch / Dinner
Day 2: Achupallas – Base Camp
- Start the trek in direction of Paredones ruins (4 to 5 hours)
- Arrival to base camp
- Accommodation (3700m)
- Breakfast / Box lunch / Dinner
Day 3: Base Camp – Tres Cruces - Paredones
- Continue the trek in direction of Paredones ruins (6 hours)
- Arrival to Tres Cruces lagoon
- Trek around the Culebrillas lagoon
- Arrival to Paredones ruins – Accommodation on base camp (3400m)
- Breakfast / Box lunch / Dinner
Day 4: Ingapirca – Quito
- Start the trek to meet up with the transportation
- Travel towards Ingapirca
- Return to Quito
- Breakfast / Lunch
