ACCLIMATIZATION 6 DAYS

 

This acclimatization program is designed to prepare & instruct people in high altitude mountain climbing from 4000m till 6000m. With the assistance of a qualified and bilingual guide, this acclimatization program increases the fitness of climbers in order for the passenger to get in a better shape ending on successful climbs. On these 7 days you will reach the summit of 4 most known Ecuadorian volcanoes, including Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the whole world! These climb offers spectacular views of Ecuador & Volcanoes Avenue. If do not have experience, these package is perfect for you, making you gain the necessary ability & skills to climb some of the most beautiful landscapes of the world.

 

ITINERARY:

 

DAY 1: PASOCHOA

  • Pick up at designated time
  • Transfer to Pasochoa volcano
  • Short briefing (climate conditions / equipment explanation / height conditions)
  • Begin ascent
  • Reach summit
  • Transfer to Chuquiragua Lodge - Accommodation
  • Box lunch

 

DAY 2: CORAZON / RUMIÑAHUI

  • Pick up at designated time
  • Transfer to chosen mountain
  • Short briefing (climate conditions / equipment explanation / height conditions)
  • Begin ascent
  • Reach summit
  • Transfer to Chuquiragua Lodge - Accommodation
  • Breakfast / box lunch

 

DAY 3: ILINIZAS NORTE

  • Pick up at designated time
  • Transfer to Northern Ilinizas
  • Begin ascent
  • Reach the summit
  • Transfer to Chuquiragua Lodge - Accommodation
  • Breakfast / box lunch

 

DAY 4: RESTING DAY

  • Rest day at Chuquiragua Lodge 
  • Breakfast

 

DAY 5 & 6: COTOPAXI

  • Travel to Cotopaxi National Park followed by trek to the refuge
  • Equipment check followed by practice on glaciers (depends on weather)
  • Dinner, sleep, wake up & begin climbing.
  • Reach summit
  • Return to refuge to have breakfast
  • Departure to Quito.
  • Breakfasts / box lunch / dinner / box breakfast

TIPS FOR A SUCCESFUL TOUR:

  • Hydrate three days before this tour
  • Sleep well the night before
  • Do not drink alcohol or smoke at least two days before
  • Bring some snacks: energy bars, chocolate and water
  • Eat healthy food few days before
