CORAZON 1 DAY
Corazon is an extinct volcano located south of Quito, in the western Andes Mountainrage. It has a variety of spectacular views from the eastern slope, where you will see fertile farmlands and cultivation fields. The western slope offers views of the famous Cloud Forest. Corazon, meaning heart, is named this way due to its shape when viewed from the western side. Trekking Corazon is perfect for a first approach to altitude & acclimatization.
This trek takes around 6 hours to reach the summit. It is important to be prepared for this kind of altitude, so our recommendation is to be acclimatized around an altitude of 3000m for at least two days.
The weather in this area is very unpredictable, which is why you must be prepared with warm clothing.
